Hi, if you are visiting from Sew Mama Sew my name is Vicky. I regularly blog about sewing, crafting and upcycling. Passionate about using what we have, sewing does not have to be expensive!
Some of my favourite recent projects include:
This cable tidy really does work – my draw of messy jumbled up cables is no more:) The tutorial is here if you fancy making your own.
Currently my favourite bag, this utilises three pairs of jeans, an offcut of tweed, and a former sheet for lining. Fancy making your own? Tutorial here.
Occasionally my children dive bomb my photographs – this denim scrappy quilt came together quicker than I anticipate and added a great splash of personality and orginality to our very bland guest room. Tutorial here.
On to the giveaway – entry is purely a comment What is your favourite reuse of materials in your own crafting/sewing? The giveaway is open until Sunday, December 13 at 5 p.m. PST and is international. This is now closed, thanks to random number generator the winner is commenter no 21:)
If you would like to make your own scrappy matt visit So Sew Easy to see the tutorial – I love it because it uses up lots of scraps of fabric with free style machine embroidery 🙂
Thanks for visiting, I would love it if you signed up to follow me:)

I like to layer old shirts and fabric for kitchen dishcloths. They work great and are good to look at. I love the tote bag! Thanks

I re-use kids clothes to make all kinds of household items. They are often outgrown before they are worn out or only worn in certain areas. If I can pass them on,that's my first choice but if they aren't wearable, into the scrap basket they go.
