Introducing this weeks Quick Mid Week Upcycled Make, an upcycled magnetic notice board. This is made from a rusty baking tray and some old buttons.
This is a fab quick make, which I am really chuffed with (can you tell?!)
You will need:
- old baking tray
- fabric
- buttons
- magnets
- Bondaweb (or similar double sided fabric adhesive)
Take one backing tray, and create an oblong template. I used a placemat which fitted perfectly.
Draw round your template on Bondaweb (iron on double sided fabric adhesive)
Iron onto your fabric. Cut out your template, I used scissors but a rotary cutter would give a neat crisp straight line.
Peel the paper and place on the baking tray, adhesive side down. Iron on. Tip – Use parchment paper between the fabric and iron to prevent any stray pieces of adhesive adhering to the iron.
Create your magnetic buttons by attaching magnets to your choice of buttons.
One finished baking tray notice board:)
What would you make your magnets out of? I was quite tempted by bottle tops from beer bottles:)

I have a huge baking sheet that doesn't even fit in my oven! It would be perfect for a wall in our office! Found you on the Sewlicious blog party. Thanks for an easy project tutorial! Val

Very cute. I've done this before but spray painted the pan with chalkboard paint so that I could doodle on it. Thanks for linking up to the Upcycled Linky Party at http://love2upcycle.blogspot.com/2014/01/upcycled-linky-party-36.html
