Uptown/downtown Dress Pattern Review

You may have noticed a theme this week – pattern testing and conquering my fear of sewing knit fabrics:) I seem to be sewing for pleasure, and growing in skills, somewhat distracted from my goal of reaching a 100 items in my Etsy shop!!

Uptown/downtown Dress TerriLin

This gorgeous dress pattern comes in sizes 2 -10 year olds with three different sleeve options; sleeveless, capped sleeves and three quarter length. This makes it incredibly versatile.

To my pleasant surprise the lining was easy to fit (I used an old t shirt of my husbands).

The dress came together really quickly, the only part taking any time was the hem, as I chose to hand stitch it. I am sure I am going to be making many more.

If like me you love seeing how a pattern can look so different in a variety of fabrics click here to see the other testers finished dresses. If you are tempted to purchase the pattern it is available here.

A big thank you to Terri of Sew Straight & Gather for the opportunity to pattern test. As usual I am off to check out fellow Handmade Harbour creative:)
