This week has been rather busy making a rocket costume required for a school blast off event.
As usual I referred to Pinterest for rocket costume ideas, and found this great image from Doodlecraft.
I made our own version, as we had no silver spray to hand to gain the silver effect I used a mixture of PVA mixed with silver paint shaken inside the bottle. The bottles have adhered together, with the aid of a glue gun and elasticated loops created for ease of wearing.
My daughter loved making her own rocket hat, using cardboard and tin foil:)
If you love making DIY costumes for children then check out the quickest cape ever (a quick transformation of an old skirt) or how about a spider t-shirt?

Lovely rockets, such a great idea too. I love the liberty print knitting needle bag, it will be a stylish addition to anyone's crafting bits and bobs.

Wow - LOVE the rocket costume - it's fab :-) Will definitely try and remember that one for next time mine need to dress up! And congrats on so many knitting needle case sales - always a nice feeling! Love the idea of using old dress patterns for the packaging - looks great. Simmi xx
