Girls/Tweens Pattern Parcel 5

Fishsticks Playhouse Dress
The Fishsticks Playhouse Dress is a lovely dress featuring puff sleeves and a flared skirt.

Girls dress

It super quick to make with a stylish result:)

Playhouse Dress

This is the first time I have used a stretch knit for the top, and cotton for the flared skirt. It is fractionally large for my daughter, but this is deliberate. She chose short sleeves as we head for winter – it WILL fit next summer!!!

  1. Lovely dress Vicky, looks great. Possibly a bit complicated for me, even though I now my very own sewing machine! (Still in box!)

  2. It’s so pretty, Vicky! Thank you for joining in the blog tour and for sharing my Playhouse Dress pattern. I really like how you left the band off the sleeves to make them flutter instead of puff sleeves! I’ve never even thought to try that!

    • To be honest when I came to the sleeves I was outfaced, still a bit new to sewing knit! My daughter loves it, she looked gorgeous today at church wearing the new dress:)

  3. What a pretty dress. The colours really suit your daughter and she’ll be able to get to wear it next summer. That pattern is amazing, so many great styles in one place.
    Ali xx

  4. Your dress is very pretty. The pattern parcels are a great idea. It’s nice to have totally different items rather than variations of the same thing #handmademonday

  5. What a great idea for group patterns, and there are some really nice ones there (I particularly like the blue spotty top). However, it takes so long for me to make myself any clothes that I think my daughter would have grown out of anything I started making for her.
