Bloggers Cocktail Party #EABloggerparty

Blogging has opened up a whole new world to me – for the first time ever I have attended a cocktail party:) I harked back to my late teens and decided to stay safe and stick with vodka!

After much consideration I decided my new black dress required an outing, and made myself a clutch bag. I am really chuffed with my first ever clutch, made from a curtain sample:)

Evening Clutch

The evening was great fun. I particularly appreciated meeting a wide variety of  bloggers – not just bloggers relating to craft activities!! Photographers, stylists, cookery writers, vintage themed blogs.

We all came home with a party bag, filled with goodies from various sponsors – my children particularly enjoyed the chocolate coins the next day. Plus for those who wished a free pair of tights, and a chance to be professionally photographed in the tights.  Despite a wide array of tights to choose from I decided to be sensible and choose a design I would wear normally. Delighted to find the good quality, one size fits all, did indeed fit my six foot frame:) Thanks to tightsplease, and Andrew Tunley.

The photograph shows up my rather old, yet extremely comfy hush puppies shoes. If anyone has any tips for finding stylish shoes in size 9, which are comfortable, please let me know !!

I had two” best bits” as my kids would say!!

Make n create

Firstly I went with the lovely Emma from House of Handmade (beautiful faux fur stoles), and Jude (soon to launch a recipe/cookery blog). I have met them through a local group called Make and Create  – it was good to spend the evening with them and get to know them better:) Forgive  me but I feel the need to do a little plug here for Make & Create, we are Norfolk based people who meet once a month for an evening of tea and cake, and a little bit of sewing/crochet/quilting – whatever projects we individually have on the go at the time. We are a friendly group always keen for new people to come and join us, why not come along Wednesday at The Talc Café 7:30 onwards?

Secondly to meet new people whom I genuinely likes and warm to, in particular Gemma from Retro Chick (one of the hosts) and Clare of ClareWade.

What a great blogger party:)

It was really lovely to meet you too. I'm interested in the creative group, I've been looking for something for a while - I will go and take a look now. I hope to see you again soon.
