Hows your week been? At the beginning of the week we had gorgeous weather. This inspired me to search out a project I started last autumn – a patchwork rug.
With the help of a long extension lead I had a most enjoyable afternoon sewing the patchwork pieces outside. The children had a great time trying to guess which fabric was from a donated shirt by Gramps (they guessed wrong Gramps!)
I’m now at the point of joining the front to the back… hopefully a tutorial will follow soon:)
I can also reveal a sneak preview, I am currently busy pattern testing for Charmed Liebling and Serger Pepper. With three patterns to test I became rather too keen on the first pattern making three versions – I really must get on with the next pattern!
Lastly I have a made a custom order knitting needle cases – this is ready to fly off to the States, I do not quite have enough knitting needles and crochet hooks to fill it for a photograph!
I hope you have had a creative week, as usual I am popping over to Handmade Harbour to see what everyone else has been up to this week,

I love the combination of pattern fabric and plain, bold fabric in your rug. My sewing machine is a big heavy one built into a cabinet, so I have to sew inside no matter how sunny it is :-(

How lucky are you that your children leave you alone enough for you to sew? I would have set it all up in the 5 mins that I had when they were occupied and then nog got anything done as they demanded my attention. ;)
