Introducing Finger Pocket Fish “Another Little Fishy”.

Another Little Fishy

Short of a last minute gift? This fish cuddly toy – puppet would make a great present.

I have been fortunate to pattern test for Janette from Just Bananas Over Soft Toys. She is passionate about creating soft toys, in her own words

The prospect of transforming a flat piece of fabric into a realistic three dimensional representation of a bird or animal brings me great joy

Having never made a soft toy before I enjoyed the challenge.

The pattern comes with full size pattern pieces, plus a choice of either 5mm seam allowance or 1/4″ giving it an international appeal – just remember to stick with whichever seam allowance you choose!

There are three different fish pattern to choose from. Each comes with a finger pocket so they can be played with as puppets. The design of the fins they move as you imitate swimming.

This was theĀ first time I’ve used safety eyes, they are super easy to use and make the toy safe for all ages. Alternatively embroider an eye, or use up some buttons from your button stash:)

These make a great gift to whip up for babies or tots:) Purchase the pattern over at Just Bananas Over Soft Toys Etsy Shop.
